Community Participation and COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America Webinar

Buenos Aires

Join us this November for a virtual webinar on Community Participation and the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America!

This virtual event will take place on Tuesday 3 November 10:00 – 11:30am (Argentina time) and will be run in Spanish.

Prevention is the most effective method of reducing transmission and outbreaks of COVID-19. Involving community participation in the management of a community outbreak of COVID-19 is a strategy underestimated in its potential. At this meeting, LSHTM Alumni from Latin America will network and begin to co-generate a working document for future epidemics based on our local strategies carried out in urban slums and vulnerable communities.

Our first alumnus will be presenting a study from Argentina: Community-level SARS-CoV-2 Seroprevalence Survey in urban slum dwellers of Buenos Aires City, Argentina: a participatory research.

We are looking for other alumni or academics from Latin America to present, if you are interested in presenting please email alumni@lshtm.ac.uk.
