Zixuan joined the Electronic Health Records group in the Department of Non-Communicable Epidemiology in June 2022 as a Research Fellow. She is currently working on projects using electronic health data from the Clinical Practice Research Database (CPRD) in the UK and Clinical Data Analysis and Reporting System (CDARS) in Hong Kong. Zixuan is holding a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology, MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition and BSc in Clinical Medicine. Her PhD research evaluated the association between prenatal use of psychotropic medications and the risk of adverse outcomes in both mothers (e.g., gestational diabetes) and offsprings (e.g., attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, seizure, preterm birth, and small for gestational age) using population-based databases.
