Dr Amy Sturt

Amy trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in the US. Her research interests lie at the intersection between Women's Health and Infectious Diseases. She was the Project Manager for the Bilharzia-HIV (BILHIV) study in Zambia and is currently a PhD candidate at the School.
Dr. Sturt's reseach investigates the mechanisms of HIV vulnerability in women with Female Genital Schistosomiasis, including vaginal inflammation and the association of FGS with non-optimal cervicovaginal bacteria.
