I am a Research Fellow at LSHTM with experience in development, translation and evaluation of health behaviour change interventions and policies, and interest in eating behaviours, weight management, and sustainable development.

After completing an undergraduate degree in work and organisational psychology at Comenius University in Slovakia, I went on to study a Master's degree in health psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands, and a PhD in health psychology at Newcastle University in the UK.

Prior to joining LSHTM as a Research Fellow, I led the evaluation of the Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial (DiRECT) delivered in primary care practices in Scotland and England, which built on my PhD work evaluating participant experiences with a diabetes remission intervention using a very low energy diet. I later joined Southampton University and Changing Health as a Knowledge Transfer partnership associate, translating a weight management intervention into an app for NHS users. I have experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative methods and I have more recently been interested in creative methods and science communication.

One of my ambitions is to bring together health psychology researchers who are interested contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals with their work, by co-chairing the "Equity, Global Health and Sustainability" special interest group at the European Health Psychology Society.

I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
