Ms ANNA PERRIS
15-17 Tavistock Place
Prior to joining LSHTM I worked as a health services researcher in patient experience. I have an MSc in Medical Anthropology from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
I have taught on the Medical Anthropology and Public Health module at LSHTM.
I am working with colleagues in Thailand on the political economy of access to antibiotics in community pharmacies, and the distribution of antimicrobial resistant infection in bedridden patients. My academic research has previously explored the phenomenology of 'contested illnesses' through the intersections of narrative, performativity and care.
