I lead communications for the Research Consortium for School Health & Nutrition and LSHTM’s Global Centre for Chronic Conditions. My interests lie in the power of communications to bridge the gap between research, policy, and people, thus contributing to sustainable community-driven health change.
Prior to joining LSHTM, I worked as marketing officer at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) in Bangkok, and later as communications officer for Amref Health Africa: Africa’s leading public health NGO specialising in increasing access to health services across the continent through community-led solutions.
I am particularly interested in the role of ethical storytelling in changing the landscape of global development communications, challenging racist or misrepresentative depictions of the Global South and creating an enabling environment for affected communities to tell their story in their own words.
I hold a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing and an MA in International Communication from the University of Leeds.
