United Kingdom

I graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2010 and subsequently completed training in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine on the North Thames rotation in London. I undertook a Masters degree in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2017-19, and returned to commence an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2021.

I am an honorary consultant nephrologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. My clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, adult polycystic kidney disease and haemodialysis.

Research

The focus of my Fellowship has been to use electronic health records to investigate long-term kidney outcomes after COVID-19 and the economic effects of the pandemic on kidney care. I primarily work on the OpenSAFELY platform, but have also had the opportunity to undertake complementary research in collaboration with the Stockholm CREAtinine Measurements (SCREAM) project based at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

My longer term research interest is in the implementation of community-based interventions to address structural inequalities in the management of chronic kidney disease and its risk factors.
