Laura is an overseas PhD student based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests are in socio behavioral science (SBR) with a focus on gaining a greater and more nuanced understanding of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) needs of adolescent girls and women.

Research

Laura's research project focuses on HIV and pregnancy prevention product use among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and female sex workers (FSWs) in East Africa. As part of her study, she would like to understand perceptions and preferences of AGYW and FSWs on future uptake of long-acting (LA) multi-purpose prevention technologies (MPTs) for HIV and pregnancy prevention.
