Marina Karanikolos is a Research Fellow at the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies based at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her work mainly involves health systems performance assessment, research on the impact of the financial crisis and austerity on population health, as well as editing Health Systems in Transition (HiT) profiles. Prior to joining the Observatory in 2010, Marina worked for the NHS as a public health intelligence analyst. She obtained a Master in Public Health degree from King’s College London.
