Mr Daniel Hetherington
My name is Daniel Hetherington I am a Trials Assistant currently working on the ERIC-PPCI trial within the Med stats Department at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). My job involves me working closely with Trial Managers, Data managers and the Administration team to help run a fast paced and proficient office. My day-day role involves me having to send out and receive appropriate documentation to and from participating sites, to ensure that relevant trail materials are being amended and updated throughout the trial, and to work closely with Hospital staff and courier companies to ensure the timely distribution of trial material and literature to sites. As well as this I will also attend site initiations and visits where I represent the administration side of our unit, I am also responsible for any ad hoc duties that may be given to me. I first joined the school in September 2012 and started working with the Clinical Trials Unit as a Clerical Assistant working on the Crash 3, Woman and Halt-it trials. It was my responsibility to ensure the smooth running of all general administrative duties and to provide all necessary supplies and documents to our collaborators on behalf of the Trials Coordinating Centre, I offered support to the regional coordinators and other members of the team with day to day tasks and activities.
