I completed an undergraduate Masters of Mathematics at the University of York in 2013. From there I undertook an integrated Masters of Research and PhD at CoMPLEX, UCL. My PhD looked at trying to use whole genome sequencing in combination with statistical inference and mathematical modelling to understand patterns of tuberculosis transmission to inform public health practices.

I am currently based in the Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases working on modelling Strongyloides stercoralis infection in order to examine the economic benefit of new therapeutics as part of the STOP trial.
