I initially did a BSc degree in Biology and followed by an MSc in Microbiology at Addis Ababa University. I also studied Public health (BSc) in Ethiopia and then PhD in immunology of leprosy reaction (ENL) at LSHTM in 2016.  

Following my undergraduate degree in Biology, I worked at Oromia Agricultural Research Institute. After my MSc, I Joined Hawassa University where I taught several undergraduate courses including microbiology, biological data analysis, mycology, virology, human nutrition and immunology for postgraduate program. I also taught control of infectious deasese and biostatistics in private medical schools. I successfully supervised 16 MSc students at Hawassa and Addis Ababa Universities. From December 2016 to April 2017, I worked at Armauer Hanssen Research Institute (AHRI), Ethiopia as researcher and team leader of bacteriology research unit.  Currently, I am a post-doctoral research fellow at LSHTM, Department of Clinical Research in leprosy research unit.

Teaching

 

I tutor on the MSc control of infectious deasese module. Also give teaching seminar for Diploma of tropical medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H).
