Dr Severine Frison

Severine is an Assistant Professor in Humanitarian Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is a public health nutritionist with experience in nutrition programming, delivering trainings in nutrition in emergencies, conducting surveys, and evaluation of programmes in humanitarian settings. She worked for different organisations including the French Red Cross, Action Against Hunger, UNICEF, Epicentre-Medecins Sans Frontiere and LSHTM in over 10 countries in Africa and Asia.
In her current role at the LSHTM, Severine is working on the prediction of acute malnutrition in four crisis- and/or drought-affected countries with a high burden of acute malnutrition in the Horn of Africa, namely Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan.
Severine holds a Master in Nutrition in developing countries, a Master in Public Health in Developing countries (LSHTM) and did her PhD on nutrition Surveillance at the LSHTM.
