Research

My research interests centre on understanding the impacts of climate on human health. For my PhD research, I use statistical models to understand the impact of climate, land-use and interacting factors on incidence of malaria and dengue. Recently, I have been involved in projects understanding the relative role of climate variation on malaria in Ecuador, and climate interacts with land-use change to drive malaria re-emergence in Venezuela.

I am also interested in understanding how environmental data can be best used to facilitate climate-sensitive disease decision-making.

My PhD research is funded by the BBSRC.
