Staff PhD (2018-2022): "Estimating healthcare costs at scale in low- and middle-income countries - The case of community-based HIV self-testing scale-up in southern Africa"

I joined the school in 2016. Between 2016 and 2017 I worked on the STAR project (HIV Self-Testing AfRica) aiming to inform the introduction of oral HIV self-testing (HIVST) in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. During the phase 1, I supported the design of discrete choice experiments to understand potential user's preferences for various models of HIVST distribution and linkage to care following a positive self-test.

During STAR phase 2 (2018 and 2019), I support the coordination of costing studies in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland to increase the evidence base on different programme implementation options for policymakers.

2019 - 2021 - ATLAS project in West Africa - Coordinate the economic evaluation of the ATLAS project on the introduction of HIV self-testing in Cote d'Ivoire, Mali and Senegal targeting key and hidden populations of the HIV epidemic (men who have sex with men, sex workers, injectable drug users and their networks).
