Jessica has a first degree in social policy and a masters in social research methods, both from LSE. Before coming to the School, she worked in the research department of the National Children's Bureau where her research focused on young people and health.
Jessica supervises students on the MSc in Public Health. She is a seminar leader on the module Principles of Social Research (PSR) and contributes to the Sexual Health and Health Promotion - Approaches and Methods modules.
With Professor Kaye Wellings and colleagues at LSHTM, UCL and NatCen, Jessica worked on the third National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (Natsal-3) focusing in particular on the qualitative component of this study. She has also worked with Sigma Research, UCL and Public Health England on developing a rapid risk assessment system for use with men who have sex with men attending sexual health clinics, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
