Studied Adult Nursing at the University of Southampton where I later went on to work in the field of Equality and Diversity.  As a postgraduate at UCL I read Medical Anthropology and commenced a research degree at King's College London exploring alcohol culture in the armed forces.  Prior to LSHTM I worked for a health tech startup and volunteered for a number of charities based in London.  My research experience and interest lies in the medical social sciences and, in particular, the liminal aspects of a medical condition.  I joined the School in 2015 as a Project Manager before moving into a secondment post in IID as the Departmental Operating Officer. In September 2017 I joined the School's largest Department, of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, as the Department Manager.  I am a 2017/18 alumna of the Aurora programme for women's leadership in higher education.
