I joined the Department of Health Services Research and Policy (Faculty of Public Health and Policy, LSHTM) as a Research Fellow on an NIHR grant looking to identify the processes of care that influence outcomes in bowel cancer patients undergoing emergency surgery.
I completed my PhD in 2020, in the Department of Medical Statistics (Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health, LSHTM). I previously completed a MSc in Medical Statistics at LSHTM, prior to which I obtained a MSci in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham.

Teaching
In my current post as research fellow in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy (PHP), I have been a seminar leader and marker for the intensive MSc module "Basic Statistics for PHP", and a marker for the distance learning MSc module "Advanced Statistical Methods in Epidemiology". I also tutor students from the MSc Public Health.
During my time as a PhD student, I was a marker for the distance learning MSc module "Advanced Statistical Methods in Epidemiology", I assisted on Basic Maths support sessions, and I helped lead STATA practical sessions for the intensive MSc modules "Statistics for Epidemiology and Population Health" and "Design and Analysis of Epidemiological Studies".
Research
I am currently based in the Clinical Effectiveness Unit, a collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. My research involves developing methodology for linkage of multiple routine datasets and identifying aspects of care with the greatest impact on patient outcomes for bowel cancer patients undergoing emergency surgery.
My PhD research focused on missing data methods for propensity score analysis of observational data, with application to routinely collected data from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink and Hospital Episode Statistics database.
My other research interests include multivariate meta-analysis.
