Teaching
Cesc is the co-organiser of the HIV module at the Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, LSHTM, together with Dr David Lawrence. This is an intense course that aims to provide master students with insights into multiple disciplines and aspects of health and well-being related to the HIV pandemic. In addition to that, Cesc is a malaria immunology lecturer in the MSc in Immunology of Infectious Diseases, together with Dr Samuel Wassmer.
Prior to joining LSTHM and as part of Barcelona's Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), Cesc facilitated training to in-country staff in multiple sites in Sierra Leone, in the context of the ICARIA clinical trial and MULTIPLY implementation project. Sessions included training on community-based, cross-sectional household survey procedures and multi-stage sampling methodologies, as well as the collection of dried blood spots and adequate storage of biological samples.
