Mr Cono Ariti
of Medical Statistics
I completed the MSc in Medical Statistics in 2009. I then started at the school as a lecturer in Medical Statistics. My current work involves a broad range of applied and methodological reseach in clinical trials and observational studies. I have also worked in health services research at two leading UK healthcare think tanks.
I am the co-module organiser for the Foundations of Medical Statistics module on the MSc in Medical Statistics. I also teach on the Advanced Statistical Methods in Epidemiology module of the MSc.
In addition to the MSc Medical Statistics I teach on the short courses Clinical Trials and Advanced Course in Epidemiological Analysis (ACEA) at LHTM. I am also the MSc Epidemiology distance learning tutor for students undertaking a meta-analysis dissertation. Outside of LSHTM I teach on a week long course on statistical methods in epidemiology for the European Educational Programme in Epidemiology (www.eepe.org).
My research interests are in the areas of meta-analysis, clinical trials, health services research, causal inference and statistical modelling.
