Progressing equity, diversity and inclusion is everyone's responsibility.

Staff networks

There are several networks at LSHTM that are run independently by staff and students from across the School and which aim to  and provide a supportive environment for staff to discuss common experiences and concerns.

Equality networks are staff and student led groups for minoritised groups. A minoritised group being "a group of individuals who are known to have been discriminated against on the basis of a shared characteristic" (Advance HE).

Networks currently at LSHTM include:

  • Disability Network
  • LGBTQ+ Network
  • Parent and Carers Network
  • The safe space for students and staff of colour

Teaching and learning - decolonising the curriculum

Our aim is to ensure that our education programmes are actively and deliberately inclusive, and that they reflect the range of cultures and knowledge systems that make up the field of global health, equipping graduates of our programmes with the skills they need to be engaged, critical global health practitioners and researchers.
