Profile: Greg Reilly
Greg Reilly from Canada is studying for a PhD in the Department of Public Health & Policy
"I came to LSHTM from Canada, where I had worked in public health and communicable disease control. From my perspective, LSHTM is the premiere school for public health, and this has always been my top graduate school of choice. I was fortunate to be awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which covers full tuition fees and provides a stipend in exchange for valuable teaching experience.
Prior to joining LSHTM, I had a broad range of experiences in public health. These experiences have included positions in outbreak management and disease prevention, both in Canada and abroad (Ethiopia, Botswana, and Mexico). I hold a BA in bioethics and political science, a BScN in nursing, and an MSc in public health. Currently I am working on my PhD in public health and policy, and teaching as a tutor in the Control of Infectious Diseases (MSc) module. My PhD research is looking at the relationship between multidrug-resistant TB and health systems.
I have found LSHTM to be a vibrant and supportive community, which has truly surpassed my expectations. The School consistently places student needs front and centre, and I am thrilled to be a part of this vibrant and diverse community."
