Quique Bassat from Spain studied the MSc in Epidemiology
"As a trained pediatrician, and after three years spent working in rural Africa, I became aware of some of my weakest professional points. If I wanted to develop my career as a clinical researcher, I needed to sharpen my skills in epidemiology and statistics, and acquire a structured and coherent approach to scientific questions, something that we clinicians often lack.
LSHTM taught me the tools and methodology that I needed, and allowed me to become autonomous. It was an intense but carefully guided process, and a most rewarding year. Three things made this experience outstanding: A primary international perspective, a unique expertise in teaching and a fabulous working atmosphere."
