"I came to the LSHTM with many expectations and all have been roundly met; from the attitude of staff, the academic teaching and support, well-researched and cutting-edge seminars, to the state-of-the art laboratory and practical facilities. I feel more adequately prepared now, even though I had previously had three years post-qualification experience as a medical doctor, to go back to Africa and stem the tide of disease, destruction and despair wanton on the continent.
