"Upon completion of my BSc from the University of Guelph, I worked as a Nutritional Care Manager in two nursing homes in Canada, monitoring and assessing the nutritional status of residents. Earlier, I spent much of my time travelling through various parts of the world, especially Latin America. After working in the field of nutrition in Canada, I knew I wanted to expand my work to developing countries. I read about the course at LSHTM and decided it would be beneficial as it combined my interest in nutrition and my desire to work internationally. The course has fulfilled much of what I had hoped to learn as well as introduced me to the field of Public Health Nutrition and its opportunities. The friendly environment and support from colleagues and staff provide an excellent opportunity for learning both from lecturers and peers."
