Before coming to London, I planned marketing and communications campaigns for healthcare associations. When I realized I was being drawn more toward health policy and organizational development, I knew I wanted comprehensive training in public health with a strong international focus. With its core in economics, epidemiology and health services research, the LSHTM MSc in Public Health has been the ideal preparation for the next step in my career. I am not sure where else students from such a multitude of cultural and professional backgrounds are brought together and given the opportunity to learn from each others' experiences with various health systems-both as insiders and as patients.
