Hmooda Toto from Sudan studied the MSc Biology & Control of Disease Vectors
"Before coming to LSHTM I worked on a national malaria control programme in the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum, Sudan, as director of the Integrated Vector Management. At first I was worried about coming to London as I had never been to the UK but after only one week of being here I felt the staff and students were like old friends.
Academically, the course has been incredibly useful. We use materials from South America, Asia and Africa and I feel that I have gained excellent skills in parasitology as well as vector biology and control. I hope to gain a PhD from LSHTM in the coming years."
