Funding for Short courses
Currently the only funding available for short courses is for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
The FEMTO Trust
Who is eligible to apply?:
All applicants holding an offer of admission to the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. Candidates must be South or Central American nationals or African nationals who are resident in their country of origin, currently working in their country of origin and returning to that country to work, following completion of the course.
Successful applicants are required to submit a report following completion of the course which will be forwarded to the FEMTO Trust. The Trust may also request further update reports on an ad hoc basis.
Application details of successful applicants will be passed on to the FEMTO Trust.
How to apply: Submit a letter of application stating "Short Course" for the attention of the Short Courses Officer in Registry (email: shortcourses@lshtm.ac.uk).
Last date for applications: We are no longer accepting scholarship applications for the DTM&H 2012.
Decision date: Autumn
Value of award: The value of the award is £9,000. The award will go towards tuition fees, living costs, flights and exam fees.
