Aims

The aim of this module is to enable students to understand the principles and practices that should underlie water, sanitation and hygiene projects in order to maximise health and social benefits and to equip students to contribute to the design and implementation of effective projects as members of multidisciplinary teams.

Aims

The aim of this module is to provide students with the key statistical principles that are essential for anyone studying epidemiology. This includes an introduction to the Stata statistical package.

Credits

15 credits are offered on successful completion of this module.

Prerequisites and Selection

Those wishing to study this module should have regular access to the internet to benefit from library facilities, participate in web-based conference discussions and submit assignments. 

Students should have a prior knowledge of basic biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and immunology in order to be able to work through and benefit fully from this module.  Please see the module outline for more details.
