Nutrition and Infection (IDM202)

Aims

This module aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the interactions between nutrition and infections, and will better place students to deal with the practical and operational management of infectious disease or under-nutrition at either the individual or population level.

Credits

15 credits are offered on successful completion of this module.

Prerequisites and Selection

Those wishing to study this module should have regular access to the internet to benefit from library facilities, participate in web-based conference discussions and submit assignments. 

Students should have a prior knowledge of basic biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and immunology in order to be able to work through and benefit fully from this module. Please see the Module Outline for more details.
