Background

Clinical Senior Lecturer in Health Economics and Policy with the Artemisinin Combination Therapy (ACT) consortium

Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Disease at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington

I like applying a range of skills including clinical, economic analysis, operational and behavourial research and mathematical modelling to bridge between research, policy and practice. This has mainly been focused on malaria and in particular on, antimalarial drug resistance and antimalarial drug policy. I spent several years working in SE Asia, most recently in Cambodia with the Oxford University Tropical Medicine network, as the co-ordinator for the Artemisinin Resistance Confirmation, Characterization and Containment (ARC3) consortium. Previously I worked as medical officer in a rural hospital in KwaZululand.
