Background
I joined the Faculty of Public Health & Policy at LSHTM in October 2005. I previously worked as a researcher at the Social Science Research Unit, Institute of Education.
Teaching
I teach on the following modules at LSHTM: Principles of Social Research; Health Promotion Theory; Health Promotion Approaches and Methods. I am the module organiser for Health Promotion Theory.
Research
My research focuses on the social and structural determinants of young people's health and wellbeing, and health promotion interventions and social policies addressing these.
I am currently working on a MRC-funded project exploring how young people's social networks influence their health. The research is supervised by Chris Bonell (LSHTM), Patrick West (University of Glasgow) and Laurence Moore (Cardiff University) and will identify scope for new public health interventions.
