Background

Having taken a year off after studying Human Sciences at Oxford, I wanted to pursue my interests in Demography, so came to LSHTM in 2006 to take the MSc Demography and Health.

My research title is: "Gender Differences In Migration Patterns, Employment Opportunities And Trends In Fertility Behaviour Of Migrants Into The Urban Slums Of Nairobi." Funded by the ESRC, I am now in the third year of my PhD.

Teaching

I currently teach on the MSc STEPH and Demography courses.

Research

My PhD will look at the inter-relationships between fertility, health, poverty and migration in the urban slums of Nairobi, Kenya.
