Martien Borgdorff is professor of Epidemiology at the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam and head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Public Health Service Amsterdam. He is editor of the International Journal on Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. He obtained his MD degree at the University of Utrecht in 1980, MSc at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1986 and PhD at the University of Amsterdam in 1994. He worked for over eight years in Zimbabwe and Tanzania, in public health and epidemiological research. Previous employers include the World Health Organization, the Royal Tropical Institute, the National Institute of Public health and the Environment, and the KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation. His main interests are the epidemiology and control of infectious diseases with a special interest in tuberculosis.

Admission: Free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first served basis
