Developing Data Management Expertise in Research - half day event

Date: Tuesday 6 November 2012
Time: 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Venue: Manson Lecture Theatre, LSHTM, Keppel Street, London, WC1E 7HT, UK

This half-day event will explore the evolving requirements for managing and sharing research data and steps that may be taken to address these issues. It will bring together speakers from several institutions to examine the motivations for maintaining research data over time, the challenges that may be encountered, and approaches that may be adopted.

During the event, the School will formally launch its Research Data Management Support Service, a central service operated within the Library & Archives that will provide researchers operating across each Faculty with advice and guidance on good practice, and develop technical services that may be used to maintain research data in conformance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
