Access to Other Libraries
Members of the School can access a wide variety of other libraries nearby if the material you need is not available at the School. You can search the Catalogues of nearby Libraries and also some Federated Catalogues (which allow you to search across a number of libraries at once), to locate material not available here at the School. Items that are not held in nearby libraries can be ordered through the Library's Inter_Library Loans Service
Joining other libraries
Reference access
All members of the School can use most libraries within the University of London for reference. You will need to show your School ID when you visit, and may need additional documentation. See the University of London Libraries Access Agreement for details.
During vacation times taught course students of the School can use other university libraries for reference via the SCONUL Vacation Access Scheme.
Borrowing from other university libraries
Current members of the School can join Senate House Library. To do this, complete a membership form and bring it into the LSHTM Library to be validated. Then take the validated slip to the Senate House Library admissions desk, together with your School ID. In addition to borrowing, membership also allows users to access Senate House Library's e-resources.
Members of the School can join many UK university libraries (including libraries within the University of London) as borrowers via the SCONUL Access Scheme. In order to join a library in the scheme you will need to obtain an SCONUL Access card from the Library Enquiries Desk.
