Moving Image Services provided by the Unit include:
- Video production service (£40 per hour)
- VHS duplication (£12 inc tape)
- VHS Conversion to DVD (£12 inc DVD) Max limit 10
- DVD to DVD (£8 inc DVD) Max limit 25
- File format conversion
- Digital video editing (£40 per hour)
Other video services are available on request.
Please note that all video services require advance booking. Please email pcslides@lshtm.ac.uk for the attention of Lisa Davies and Adrian Cousins. Filming takes advance planning so please try to give at least one week notice and more if you can.
The School has an Educational Recording Agency licence to:
- Record radio and television programmes as teaching aids.
- Copy recordings.
- Borrow and copy recordings belonging to other ERA licence holders.
Note: Open University broadcasts are NOT covered by the licence.
Off Air Recordings
The Television and Radio Index for Learning and Teaching (TRILT) is a unique listings database of UK broadcasts and an essential tool for students and staff wishing to search for or request specific programmes from the BUFVC Off-Air Recording Back-Up Service.
To request a program to be recorded please go to the British Universities Film and Video Council website. Click the "log in" tab in the left column. A window will appear. Login using your LSHTM user name and password. Search and make a request. Please email pcslides@lshtm.ac.uk to inform us of the request. Currently, this is a free service. Please contact Lisa Davies for further information.
