Wren Lab, Helicobacter pylori
Genetic and molecular characterisation of the gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori
Principal investigator: Nick DorrellĀ
Co-Investigator: Brendan Wren, Baraa Hussein, Laura Yates
Funder: MRC
Objectives:
- The objectives of the project are to determine the genetic basis by which H. pylori causes peptic gastric disease. Specific aims are to:
- study key genetic regulatory pathways in relation to stress adaptation using transcriptome analysis
- ascertain the importance of biofilm formation ex vivo genomes of Helicobacter genus
