Electron Microscopy and Histopathology Services

The Electron Microscopy and Histopathology Services are housed on the lower ground floor of the Keppel Street building (LG16). The unit is equipped with two JEOL Electron Microscopes. The Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) has a side mounted 2k (3.4 Megal pixels) AMT Digital camera, and the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) has an Orion SEM Digital Imaging system.
There is a full histology processing facility for wax embedding samples for histological staining and examination in the Histopathology laboratory located on the 3rd floor (room 350) of the same building.
This unit provides specialist advice and a range of processing and sectioning services to both internal and external users**.
