1st July 2010A global perspective to public health is a key priority for the entire international community; there is increasing recognition that the aetiology and impact of health concerns is linked across populations. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential to improve basic health for all. Organised by LSHTM students, this symposium offers an opportunity for students involved in all aspects of global health research, including clinical, population, laboratory and social sciences, to present their work in a relaxed and informal environment. The symposium will conclude with a plenary lecture given by Prof. David Heymann (Chairman of the Health Protection Agency Board and former Assistant Director General of the World Health Organisation). Prizes for the best presentations will be awarded, kindly sponsored by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
