Computing Courses
Introduction
Alistair Tait and Elaine Williamson are running a full programme of workshops this year, modified in light of evolving staff needs. Staff are asked to sign up for the in-house workshops when they are running, and to go to courses run by the external providers only if you need training outside these times. The popular International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL - formerly ECDL) training is going from strength to strength, and the Advanced ICDL gives staff the opportunity to develop their skills to advanced levels in specific areas.
Trevor Manning, the School's e-Learning Advisor, and Leman Aydemir, Learning Technology Support Officer, will also be running courses on Blackboard and Course Genie. Refer to Section 1.5 above, E-Learning and Learnign Technologies, for full details.
