This term we will begin a schedule of careers workshops during lunch time between 1-2pm, as shown below:
Wednesday 16th May; LG6 - Writing a non-academic CV
If you are planning to work outside academia, whether in the private, public sector or for an NGO, this workshop will help you to focus on your skills to develop a standout CV. *This workshop is now fully booked*
Thursday 7th June; E-library - LinkedIn Lab
A beginner's workshop about using LinkedIn for networking.
Wednesday 20th June; LG9 - Completing job applications
Completing job applications can be very daunting, this workshop will give you some tips and tricks to help you to tackle application forms with confidence.
Tuesday 3rd July; Lucas - Academic interviews
Interviews are often the final stage of the process in securing a position. This workshop will give you tools to help sell yourself in an interview for positions in academia.
Wednesday 18th July; LG6 - Non-academic interviews
Whether you are planning to work in the private, public sector or for an NGO or charitable organisation interviews are often the final stage of the process in securing a position. This workshop will give you tools to help sell yourself in an interview in these types of organisations.
