Teaching

I am currently the course organiser of Statistical Methods in Epidemiology. This unit is an advanced course in distance learning (DL) MSc programme in epidemiology. I have also taught the following courses for the in-house MSc students: Statistics with Computing, Regression Analysis, Generalised Linear Model, Clinical Trials, and Survival Analysis.

Research

I am an applied statistician with research interests centring on application of state-of-the-art mathematical and statistical models and techniques to discover substantive facts and/or assess theories about medical, biological, demographic, environmental and social determinants of disease and health. I also make occasional contributions to the development of statistical models when they are motivated by substantive problems. My research interests include: risk factors of cardiovascular disease, reproductive health, bioequivalence studies, crossover trials, treatment changes in clinical trials, variable transformation and selection in regression, multilevel modeling, Bayesian model average analysis, varying-coefficient model, and statistical computing.
