Lesley Vidaurre BNurs RN

Trial Manager

Before joining the Trials Coordinating Centre at LSHTM my nursing career has given me an understanding of the relevant health issues affecting our community. I have worked in clinical trials research for over 7 years. My role in the TCC as an Assistant Trials Manager involves overseeing international clinical trials, trouble-shooting any day to day issues that may arise, and ensuring that sites meet GCP and ethical requirements.

Research

Currently the TCC is working on emergency care trials including WOMAN and very shortly CRASH-3. The WOMAN trial (www.womantrial.lshtm.ac.uk) is studying the effect of Tranexamic acid in Post Partum Haemorrhage. The CRASH-3 trial will be looking at the effect of Tranexamic acid on Traumatic Brain Injury. Both trials involve the collaboration of international Investigators and are conducted in an emergency care setting.
