I trained in England and have a PhD in Health Services Research, MSc in Public Health, Diploma in Systematic Reviews am Honorary member of the Faculty of Public Health. My research experience is extensive and have published in the areas of cardiovascular disease, primary care, mental health and in the audit of health care systems. I have worked in various academic departments including the Bristol Heart Institute. In addition, I trained in Public Health with a focus on health protection, the environment and food policy. Since 2002, I have supported the Indian Migration Study and since 2008 have been based at the South Asia Network for Chronic Disease (SANCD) in New Delhi, India. Presently, I am Managing Editor for the Cochrane Heart Group for systematic reviews, and my scope of work at SANCD is to support research capacity on a part-time basis.
