Since joining Prof Roy's laboratory, I have concentrated on the development of BTV VLP based vaccines as a safe alternative to attenuated and live vaccines. I also have a keen interest in the host-virus interactions at a cellular level examining the role of NF-kB in response to BTV infection. Currently, the focus of my research is to dissect the domains of BTV VP4, a viral protein involved in capping and methylation of virus RNA.
