Natasha Palmer MSc PhD

I did my first degree in Economics and HIstory at Oxford and then worked in  Cambodia, Lesotho and South Africa until coming to the LSHTM to do an MSc in 1995.  My MSc in Health Policy Planning and Financing was sponsored by DFID and I then worked for them for a year as an Associate Professional Officer.   I joined the LSHTM in 1997, completed my PhD in 2001 and have been in the Health Economics and Financing Programme since then. My research interests cover a variety of issues related to health systems in low income countries, in particular the use of contracts for service delivery, human resources and health financing.
