Dr Eveline Nuesch MSc PhD

Lecturer

I obtained a PhD in biostatistics and epidemiology at the University of Bern (Switzerland) in 2010 after graduating in statistics (University of Neuchâtel, 2008) and biology (University of Basel, 2003). Before joining the LSHTM in 2011, I had worked as a research fellow in clinical epidemiology at the University of Bern,  as a statistician at the Clinical Trials Unit, Bern University Hospital, and in pharmacovigilance at a CRO. I am currently working for the British Women's Heart and Health Study.

During my time at LSHTM, I have participated in teaching activities such as statistics for epidemiology and public health, clinical trials, and systematic reviews.

Research

My main research interests include determinants, outcomes and treatments of musculoskeletal and cardiovascular diseases with a special focus on risk factors for disability and and quality of life in the elderly. I am interested in methodological and statistical aspects of clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
