I am a part-time general medical practitioner (GP) working in North London, studying for a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) half-time from academic year 2006/07, expected to complete by 2012.
I have worked in the field of sexual and reproductive health for nearly ten years and have been teaching health care professionals and other learners on this topic through lectures, seminars and e-learning. I remain active in influencing sexual health policy on a national level and have been involved in different organisations and ventures, including :development of NICE guidance on STI prevention, National Chlamydia Screening Programme in England, Royal College of General Practitioners, Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare as well as local primary care organisations.

Naturally, my DrPH thesis will examine how to influence the behaviour of primary care practitioners to deliver sexual health services.
