Teaching
I have facilitated on the MSc modules STEPH, Demographic Methods, and Research, Design and Analysis.
Research
My main areas of interest are alcohol use, and health and demographic trends on post-soviet countries. My PhD uses secondary longitudinal data to investigate how alcohol use affects partnership trends, family building behaviour, and fertility in Russia. I also work on a qualitative project in Russia investigating the social context of alcohol use. In addition, I am researching the use of sex-selective abortion in the Caucasus region.
